Start with the operating gap
A store wants to sell related items together, but the offer still depends on valid component variants, sellable stock, discounts and fulfillment rules. A bundle that looks correct on a product page can fail at checkout or become difficult to refund. Define the physical components and the commercial promise before adding a new offer interface.
Keep the category boundary visible
A bundle changes the offer, not the meaning of the underlying inventory. Decide whether the store holds a prepacked item or combines separate components when purchased. Shipping weight, tax treatment, discount interactions and partial returns need review for the actual commerce configuration; this guide does not resolve those policies.
The record to inspect
Scroll horizontally to read all columns.
| Part of the work | Evidence needed | Failure to rehearse |
|---|---|---|
| Component map | Each offer choice resolves to the correct sellable variant | An unavailable size remains selectable |
| Pricing | The expected total survives the supported discount combinations | A discount is applied twice |
| Inventory | Each component changes by the intended quantity | Stock decrements against an artificial item only |
| Return | The operator can explain the component and refund amount | A partial return leaves an incorrect remaining order |
A proposed small pilot
Create one hypothetical two-item offer and a quantity-based offer. Test them against the current theme, checkout and fulfillment process using permitted test orders. Fast Bundle is a candidate to investigate for the offer-building job; the proposed checks are not a completed app test.
- Write the offer, component variants and expected prices before configuring it.
- Test a complete purchase with the permitted discount combinations.
- Make one component unavailable and inspect the storefront and checkout behavior.
- Reconcile order lines and stock movements at the fulfillment destination.
- Rehearse a cancellation, partial return and edited order.
When to stop
Stop if totals differ between the offer and checkout, component inventory cannot be reconciled or a downstream operator cannot understand the order. More offer types do not fix an unclear stock model.
What to measure and cost
Compare correct orders, stock discrepancies, support questions, return corrections and setup effort. Evaluate store compatibility, required offer types and the cost model directly. An increased order total is not automatically improved margin after discounts, fulfillment and returns.
These commerce areas require inputs about products, stores, orders, inventory, destinations or creative work. The eight-category sales fit finder does not assess those conditions. Use the relevant planning record and verify the actual account, territory and current capabilities directly.
