What the official sources establish
Dated product claims appear after the current review window is checked.
Who should investigate it
Teams with documented subscriber sources, usable event data and a demonstrated branching or maintenance gap.
Investigate a stable event-driven subscriber workflow with a clear entry rule and someone to maintain its branches.
Where the fit stops
A tag does not establish contact permission, and activating an automation does not replay every historical event.
- Historical contacts assumed to enter because an earlier event happened.
- Unreviewed tags used as a substitute for a subscription purpose.
- A sales-CRM requirement whose actual plan or add-on has not been checked.
Relevant capability areas: Email lifecycle. A product can span several categories; the task is still evaluated separately.
Check entry time and repeated events first
Prepare a controlled welcome path and record when it becomes active. Compare a record that qualified earlier, one that qualifies afterward, a repeated event and an exclusion change. The proposed test is not a completed ActiveCampaign evaluation.
- Draw the required entry, branch, wait and exit behavior.
- Record event and activation times for each test item.
- Inspect actual entry and re-entry rather than assuming historical enrollment.
- Change a preference or qualifying field and review later steps.
- Document ownership and the recovery route for an incorrect branch.
Keep time and state in the same record
Scroll horizontally to read all columns.
| Field | What it should explain |
|---|---|
| Event and activation time | Whether the relevant condition occurred while the trigger was active |
| Entry and current step | Which test record entered and how often |
| Exit and owner | Why the path stopped and who corrects a failure |
A complex branch needs an operator
Compare correct paths, unintended repeated actions and maintenance effort. Check the existing platform against the same case before adding overlap. If sales pipelines, SMS or other modules are needed, evaluate their separate account and plan conditions.
Questions to take to the vendor
- What exact event enters a record, and how is re-entry controlled?
- What should happen to contacts that qualified before activation?
- Which triggers, actions and separate sales capabilities require the intended plan?
What belongs in the cost check
- Verify the plan for each required trigger and action.
- Separate email lifecycle needs from sales, SMS and other add-ons.
- Include event cleanup, migration and ongoing workflow review.
No price table or universal plan entitlement is published here. Obtain the current quote for the actual account, territory, billing term and actions; include operator time and recovery work.
Before starting a trial
Write the capability missing from the current setup, a representative input, an observable success condition and a stopping rule. Compare the same case in the existing process. Keep the source, owner and exception visible, and use only authorized or clearly marked test material.
