Define the reason to move
Name the existing platform limit before comparing another service. Record the audience type, subscription purpose, required sequence, current integrations and expected end state. A broad feature list or advertised entry price does not establish a migration benefit.
Reconcile a representative sample

| Record element | Check in the destination | Failure to rehearse |
|---|---|---|
| Subscription source and purpose | The origin and relevant choice remain explainable | An imported address becomes a new subscriber by default |
| Exclusions and preferences | The relevant status survives transfer and future sync | A later import reactivates an excluded record |
| Segments and fields | Definitions and field types match the intended workflow | A date or tag changes meaning |
| Automation state | The entry rule and current position are deliberate | Every imported person starts every sequence again |
Rehearse before wider migration
- Export and retain the fields needed to reconstruct source, purpose and preferences.
- Create a controlled destination sample containing a normal, excluded, duplicate and incomplete record.
- Check field types, segment definitions and the supported import behavior.
- Inspect welcome, purchase and preference events for unintended repeated entry.
- Record a rollback owner and keep the authoritative system explicit during the trial.
Choose a comparison that answers the requirement
GetResponse, ActiveCampaign, Brevo, Campaign Monitor, Kit and Moosend have separate research profiles. Use the same required workflow and exception in each relevant demonstration. Check list-size definitions, sending allowance, required automations, seats, integrations and migration work using current account-specific information. Profiles are selective research rather than a performance ranking.
What would stop the move
Pause if preference history cannot be reconstructed, the sample unexpectedly enters live sends or two systems can overwrite each other’s exclusions. A successful file import proves only that the file was accepted. Inspect the behavior the imported fields actually produce before moving a broader audience.
