What the official sources establish
Dated product claims appear after the current review window is checked.
Who should investigate it
Small B2B teams with defined company criteria, a relevant role hypothesis, a shared record and a real information or sales-execution gap.
Separate account discovery from sending. Research capability can be relevant before any sequence is appropriate. Evaluate each required capability against the same sample and current account conditions.
Where the fit stops
A database record is not evidence of buying intent or permission to contact. Validate coverage in your actual niche.
- A consumer audience or a social resource request.
- A team seeking more records to compensate for an unowned relationship history.
- A campaign activated solely because a contact appears in a database.
Relevant capability areas: Sales intelligence, Sales engagement. A product can span several categories; the task is still evaluated separately.
Proposed account-research pilot
An illustrative team selects a narrow organization type and a business responsibility connected to its offer. Its first deliverable is a reviewed account sample, not a live campaign. The procedure below is a planning exercise, not a claim of tested Apollo coverage.
- Write company inclusion criteria, exclusions and a reason the offer could be relevant.
- Start with companies; inspect a small sample against the defined criteria and public business evidence.
- Search for relevant people using both company and role conditions. Check filter logic rather than assuming each added value narrows the result.
- Record source, verification date, uncertainty and an accept/reject reason for each sample item.
- Move accepted records into the shared system with an owner. Review any separate outreach purpose, channel, contact basis and suppression behavior before execution.
Research and execution need separate acceptance cases
Scroll horizontally to read all columns.
| Capability | Acceptance case | What it does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Account research | A reviewed organization matches the brief and its relevant role can be verified | Buying intent or permission to contact |
| Record handoff | The source, verification date, owner and next action remain visible | That all future synchronization will be correct |
| Sales execution | A controlled reply or stop request changes later planned steps correctly | Deliverability, reply rate or guaranteed sales |
Coverage, credits and the actual niche
Record how many sampled accounts are usable, which fields are missing or stale and how long review takes. A large database size is not evidence of coverage in a particular niche. The current costs of saving, enriching, exporting or enrolling records must be checked for the actual account and action; this profile does not publish a universal credit schedule.
Questions to take to the vendor
- Does a small reviewed sample match the target company and role criteria?
- Which research, export and execution capabilities require separate allowances?
- Who verifies records, owns replies and maintains exclusions?
What belongs in the cost check
- The exact action that consumes credits or allowances in the intended plan.
- Seats, research, enrichment, export, execution and any third-party allowances.
- Review time, duplicate correction, reply coverage and the cost of keeping the destination record current.
No price table or universal plan entitlement is published here. Obtain the current quote for the actual account, territory, billing term and actions; include operator time and recovery work.
Before starting a trial
Write the capability missing from the current setup, a representative input, an observable success condition and a stopping rule. Compare the same case in the existing process. Keep the source, owner and exception visible, and use only authorized or clearly marked test material.
